Ersatzbrennstoffe (Refuse-Derived Fuel, RDF) und feste r\u00fcckgewonnene Brennstoffe (Solid Recovered Fuel, SRF) decken nicht nur unseren Energiebedarf, sondern wandeln auch brennbare feste Abf\u00e4lle in Energie um, wodurch eine zirkul\u00e4re Ressourcennutzung erreicht wird.<\/p>\n<p>Die Bedeutung des Brennwerts bei alternativen Kraftstoffen:<\/p>\n<p>Der Heizwert ist ein entscheidender Indikator f\u00fcr die Brennstoffqualit\u00e4t. Je h\u00f6her der Heizwert ist, desto mehr W\u00e4rme wird bei der Verbrennung erzeugt. Ersatzbrennstoffe und Ersatzbrennstoffe werden durch die Sortierung und Zerkleinerung von brennbaren Materialien im Abfall, wie z. B. Kunststoffen, Fasern, Gummi, Holz und Lebensmittelresten, zu alternativen Brennstoffen hergestellt. Durch die Entfernung der meisten inerten Materialien wird ihr Heizwert erheblich gesteigert.<\/p>\n<p>Nach der Norm EN ISO 21640:2021 wird EBS nach Heizwert, Chlorgehalt und Quecksilbergehalt eingeteilt. EBS hat in der Regel einen Heizwert von etwa 18 MJ\/kg, wobei hochwertige EBS bis zu 20 MJ\/kg erreichen.
